The department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (AEIE) was established in the academic year 2005-2006 with an intake of 60 students and it offers a four-year B Tech degree program under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT, formerly WBUT), West Bengal. The department has about 260 EIE students and a team of twelve (12) highly qualified, young and research minded faculty and staff members are actively involved for this Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering program. The faculty members of the department are involved in Research and Development activities with the state-of-the-art technologies in the emerging fields of engineering including Spintronics, Sensor Signal Conditioning Systems, Electronic Instrumentation and Measurement, Cognitive Radio, Power Quality Measurement, Multivalued logics and opto-electronics & electro-optic devices.
