Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  1. Program Educational Objective 1
    To provide students with domain competence in mathematical, scientific and basic engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, analyze and solve hardware/software engineering problems and/or also to pursue advanced study or research.
  2. Program Educational Objective 2
    To train students with good breadth of knowledge in core areas of Information Technology and related engineering so as to comprehend engineering trade-offs, analyze, design, and synthesize data and technical concepts to create novel products and solutions for the real life problems.
  3. Program Educational Objective 3
    To inculcate in students to maintain professionalism and ethical standards, effective oral and written communication skills, to work as part of teams on multidisciplinary projects and diverse professional environments, and relate engineering issues to the society, global economy and to emerging technologies.
  4. Program Educational Objective 4
    To provide our graduates with learning environment awareness of the life-long learning needed for a successful professional career and to introduce them to written ethical codes and guidelines, perform excellence, leadership and demonstrate good citizenship.


Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
The PSOs of Information Technology engineering program supported by the curriculum are given below. The students will be able to
PSO1: apply principles of Technology, computer science; basic science, mathematics (including differential equations, discrete mathematics and linear algebra) and laboratory skills for building, testing, operation and maintenance of Software and Hardware. PSO2: Design and analysis of algorithms and computer science theory of modelling and processes related to IT industry.

PSO3: Be prepared to work professionally in IT industry, able to achieve higher studies and develop the modern tools in Information Technology field.


Program Outcomes (POs)
Engineering Graduates will be able to:
  1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems anddesign system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriateconsideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmentalconsiderations.
  4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and researchmethods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modernengineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
  9. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
  10. Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
  11. Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one?s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
  12.
